Cooling Towers
Under the Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative
Condenser Regulations 1992, if you control non-domestic premises
you must ensure that you notify the local authority of any cooling
tower or evaporative condenser (notifiable devices) on the
premises.
Summary of the regulations which came into force on 2 November
1992:
- These Regulations apply to premises regardless of whether HSE
or Local Authority are the enforcing authority.
- The controller of the premises must notify the Local Authority
on the prescribed form.
- The controller of the premises must notify the Local Authority
of any change.
