Changes to refuse collection service

Around 3,900 households have now received a seagull-proof sack for their household refuse, which is emptied each week and helps to prevent litter.  These have replaced purple bag collections.  You can watch a step by step guide demonstrating how to use a gull-proof sack on YouTube.

We are now recycling 45% of all your household rubbish! We would like to thank you for your help in continuing to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill, which helps towards keeping the cost of your Council tax down.  For advice on how and when to put your refuse and recycling out for collection, please refer to our downloadable document below.
