Special educational needs - transport

Is there help with transport for my child who has special needs?


If your child attends their local school and it is within walking distance to your home they will not receive transport to school expect under exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the transport manager. If your child is placed in a special school or a school with specialist facilities for your child’s particular special educational need by the Local Education Authority then you will be provided with home to school transport.

Cumbria County Council provides Special needs transport as part of their Children's Services.
