Help for adults
We recognise that many people in need would
benefit from information about the help available to them.
Usually, no single organisation can provide all the help a
person in needs. People’s needs may be met from a collection
of different services and support from a number of different
organisations.
Where do I get information and advice
from?
Cumbria County Council Customer Services
can:
- give you advice about how Adult Social Care may be able to
help you;
- give you advice about help available from other
organisations;
- provide you with copies of a range of information leaflets and
booklets about the help available;
- arrange for information to be provided to you in other
formats; and
- provide you with lists of services such as residential and
nursing homes, home care and cleaning agencies and so
on.
Customer Services can also arrange for you to
have an assessment of your needs from a social worker or
occupational therapist. During your assessment, your social
worker or occupational therapist can provide you with further
information and advice.
