Homelessness Advice and Information

If you think you are in danger of losing your home, please complete our online enquiry form above   , e-mail: Housing@carlisle.gov.uk or call 01228 817428. Alternatively, you can visit us at the Civic Centre from Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 12 noon and 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm (except for Bank Holidays).

We will try to help you keep your home

  • by talking to your landlord
  • by arranging mediation or support
  • or look at other ways of helping you

If all else fails and you have no where to stay and are in priority need group, then Carlisle City Council will provide temporary accommodation until your application can be assessed and a decision reached on your homeless application.

For more information see the downloadable document "How your application will be assessed" below.

Please see downloadable document below "Checklist for Renting - June 2014" for more details.
