Referrals to other Housing Associations

Since the large scale voluntary transfer Carlisle City Council no longer has a waiting list for social housing.  If you would like to be considered for social housing you will need to contact the housing associations directly.

See our list of housing associations that own properties in the Carlisle region

Carlisle City Council still has a nomination rights agreement with Carlisle Housing Association (on 1 April 2009 Carlisle Housing Association will change its name to Riverside Carlisle) for people who are homeless and in priority need.

In addition to the nomination rights with Riverside Carlisle, the Council have referral rights with Home Housing, Two Castles and Impact Housing for people who are homeless and in priority need.

For more information please contact Homelessness Services on 01228 817000.
