Low Harker Dene

Carlisle City Council has recently
opened Low Harker Dene (formerly named Ghyll Bank), a fifteen
pitch Gypsy and Traveller site.
The site is located at Ghyll Bank, in the
north east of the city and was funded by a £1.96million Government
grant. Local construction company Story Construction
Ltd carried out the work on site.
Managed by an external management team,
the development includes fifteen pitches, varying in
size. The fifteen pitches are designed to
current guidelines and each pitch has an amenity block, adequate
space for parking and space for caravan accommodation.
On site there is street lighting and a
communal room for residents. As well as these new facilities,
a manager and site office is located on the site.
We welcome applications from Gypsy and Travellers wanting to
live at Low Harker Dene. We do not expect many vacancies on
the site, and therefore applicants will usually be placed on the
waiting list.
