Hammond's Pond
Today.
In 2008 the café was refurbished and an office for the Park
Rangers built inside, offering a much improved service for local
school visits, and a place where park visitors can make contact
with the parks' staff or the Friends of
Hammond's Pond. In 2009 closed circuit television cameras were
installed. In the spring of 2011 a new playground was
installed.
Thanks to all the efforts of the Friends of Hammond's Pond,
other individuals and the parks' staff and rangers, Hammond's Pond
was awarded a Green Flag Award in 2011 for the fifth year
running.
