Walking Programmes
There are a variety of different walks you can access dependent
upon your current health level or need.
Walking for Health

Take the first
steps to a healthier lifestyle with this programme of FREE, easy,
approximately one hour walks. All are on good paths, but please
wear sensible footwear.
These walks are held and change location every other week and
are guided so you can find out a little about the area you are
walking in. They have additionally been awarded accreditation and
recognised nationally.
When and Where?
Various locations throughout the Carlisle District... please see
programme.
Tuesday Trundles
These walks are more challenging, longer, with varying gradient
and surfaces. Suitable footwear, walking boots or shoes with good
grips/soles and appropriate clothing for the weather is
required.
When and Where?
These Walks again take place every other Tuesday in a block and
vary locations around the district.
Summer Walks
Explore and discover
Carlisle with our programme of FREE guided evening and weekend
walks.
From 2.5 miles to 8 miles, you will need to wear suitable
outdoor footwear and clothing.
