Physical Activity and Sport Development Grant Award Scheme for Clubs

This is a small grant award that can provide up to £300 for activities or equipment within clubs, in order to help with the development of a club. Normally applications will gain £200, but may receive extra for establishing a new club or session and/or for any activities, which fall in areas of deprivation.

Criteria/eligibility

Grants may be awarded for any activity/equipment, which will assist in the development of the club and or groups.

Club annual running costs cannot be funded.

The club must be based within the City Council boundaries

Organisations must have their own bank accounts

Cheques can only be issued in the name of the club, not an individual

Organisations may apply on an annual basis, but must show how the club has developed in the form of a development plan.

Organisations must have or be working towards a development plan

Organisations must comply with equity

New clubs may be eligible for an additional 25% award

Projects targeting priority areas may be eligible for an additional 25% award.

The club and coach development officer will visit all Clubs applying for this grant.
