Adoption and Fostering

Adoption is a legal process by which children become permanent members of a new family. Parental responsibility is transferred to the adopters. Adopted children lose all legal ties to their birth parents.

Fostering is taking care of someone else’s child for a period of time while they are unable to live with their own family.
