British Cycling is on the hunt for new Breeze champions in Carlisle to help inspire more women to get on their bikes and enjoy the fun, fresh air and freedom offered by cycling.
British Cycling’s Breeze network is the biggest programme ever to get more women riding bikes for fun. Led by women for women, Breeze relies on a hugely important group of volunteer champions to bring the programme to life. Breeze empowers women to change the face of cycling for good and leave a lasting legacy in their area.
Becki Morris, Women’s Network Project Manager at British Cycling, said: ‘Our amazing volunteer champions are at the heart of our programme. Their passion and commitment to encourage and support women to get into cycling is admirable. It is in large part down to their efforts that the programme is as successful as it is, we never cease to be inspired by them.’
If you love cycling recreationally and are keen to help support others, you can become a British Cycling Breeze champion and lead group bike rides in Carlisle and the surrounding area. There’s no need to be a cycling expert, just be confident on a bike and have heaps of enthusiasm.
