Improvement works will get underway at Carlisle Crematorium on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 June.
To allow the works to be undertaken, the Crematorium won’t be available for funeral services on these days. Major re-surfacing works will be carried out on the crematorium drives and the gates to the grounds will be locked meaning that there will be no vehicle access.
Visitors will still be able to gain access to the Crematorium grounds via the Richardson Street Cemetery entrances and parking will available within the cemetery grounds. Visitors will be able to access the Crematorium grounds if they walk through from the Cemetery.
As part of the works, the crematorium windows and gullies on the entrance drive will also be replaced.
