An open-air performance of Gulliver’s Travels will be held at Talkin Tarn on Thursday 18 August.
The Pantaloons, a touring theatre company, will perform a family friendly adaptation of Jonathan Swift’s classic novel within the grounds of the Country Park.
Gates will open at 6pm for a 7pm start. Tickets cost £10 adult, £5 child or £25 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) and £8 for concessions. Tickets are available from the Carlisle Tourist Information Centre, from Talkin Tarn tearoom, or online at www.thepantaloons.co.uk
A bar will also be available serving both wine and beer and a selection of local ales. Please bring along seating as the event will be held on the hard standing on the waterfront. The tearoom kiosk will be open serving a selection of tasty treats.
A special meal option is available for spectators wanting to get a bite before the event. In addition to delicious homemade food, the booking also gives exclusive access the Talkin Tarn tearoom balcony which will provide an excellent viewing area for the performance. Tickets for the performance are required in addition to the cost of the set-price meal. The two course meal costs £20 per person and will be served at 6pm. The menu is as follows:
