Access Group Meetings
Carlisle Access Group meets 10 times every year. Meetings are
not held in January or July. Consultations are brought
before the group and speakers are invited to meetings.
The costs for these meetings are met by Carlisle City Council.
There is no subscription from members. Members need to tell
the secretary if they are attending a meeting to make
sure the venue is both large enough for expected numbers and
accessible to all. Interpreters need to be booked in advance.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in October. At this
meeting, elections are held to appoint a Chairperson, Vice
Chairperson, Plans Officer and Licensing Officer. The post of
secretary is held by the Access Officer for Carlisle City
Council.
