Landscape Character Assessment Guidance
The
Landscape Character Assessment Guidance (external link) is
published by Natural England and Scottish Natural Heritage. It
shows how to identify and express the different elements such as
woodlands, hedgerows, moors, mountains and farmland, building
styles, and historic artifacts. These are all things which give a
place its unique character.
It is divided into two parts:
- A practical guide to Landscape Character Assessment
- Landscape Character Assessment in Practice
These can both be downloaded from the Natural England
website.
