Strategic Flood Risk Assessment
The Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) for
Carlisle District has been updated. This replaces the Level 1 study
carried out for the whole District in 2006. It also includes a
Level 2 study undertaken for the areas of Caldewgate/Shaddongate,
Rickergate, Denton Holme, Willowholme and Milbourne Street. This
provides a more detailed assessment of the risk of flooding within
these areas and the implications of further development on flooding
levels. The revised SFRA will inform the Core Strategy and is
compliant with current Planning Policy Statement PPS25: Development
and Flood Risk.
The Carlisle SFRA (November 2011) is now
available to purchase on DVD at a cost of £40.00 +
£3.00pp.
