We aim to make sure that parking places in Carlisle are shared fairly amongst all users and that roads stay safe and clear. To do this we operate a disc zone scheme on the roads around the City Centre.
We are also responsible for operating the council owned Pay & Display car parks and issuing parking permits for residents.
Civil Enforcement Officers employed by Carlisle City Council issue parking fines using handheld computers.
Electronic forms can be completed and submitted online, with no paper involved, which is not only our preferred method; it's kinder to the environment as well.
