Open 4 Business Portal

Carlisle City Council is providing local businesses with free access to its local business support and grant portal provided by Open4Business. This is tailored for the Carlisle area and includes local, regional and national schemes.

Business can also search for funding relevant to their size and sector. To use the portal, you will first need to register with Open4Business.

Rosa, a grant-making charity focused on grassroots women’s organisations, has announced a new scheme dedicated to supporting victims of male violence in their recovery and helping women across the UK to feel safe and protected.

The fund is expected to open in spring 2022, with more details published in due course.

Art Fund Opens Funding for Student Opportunities

Art Fund is offering funding to help museums, galleries and visual arts organisations provide paid opportunities for full-time university students to gain meaningful, developmental work-experience that enables them to further explore their interest in the arts, and related future career options before they graduate.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.

Social Enterprise Support Fund to Open for Round 2

Social enterprises will soon be able to apply for the next round of grants to assist in their recovery from the pandemic and allow them to continue supporting communities which have been disproportionately impacted.

Applications will open on 28 February 2022 and close on 24 March 2022.

Theatre503 Invites Submissions for International Playwriting Award

Theatre503 is service for new writers and is intended to be a launchpad for artists who bring their words to life. The Theatre503 International Playwriting Award is search for the best new plays and most talented new playwrights in the world.

Historic England Announces Grants to Celebrate Working Class Histories

Community and heritage organisations will soon be able to apply for grants of up to £25,000 for projects which engage with a wide range of heritage and enable people to creatively share overlooked or untold stories of their communities.

The fund will open on 23 February 2022 and close on 23 May 2022.

Funding for Repair and Conservation Projects in Victorian Theatres Across UK

The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation is offering grants of up to £15,000 to support capital repair and conservation works in listed Victorian Theatres across the United Kingdom. The Victorian Theatres Small Repairs Fund will enable groups to deliver capital works with a vital, urgent, and/or historical significance to help list theatres thrive as cultural, heritage, and community assets. 

The deadline to register interest with the Foundation is 15 March 2022. 

LEGO Foundation Launches Grants to Support Early Childhood Development

Non-governmental organisations (NGOs), not-for-profits, research organisations and businesses can apply with innovative and transformational projects which focus on children’s wellbeing whilst also addressing global social issues.

Active Communities Funding Now Available in Parts of Scotland

Active Communities is a funding programme for community groups and not-for-profit organisations, with an income of less than £350,000 a year or an average of £350,000 over two years, seeking investment of between £5,000 and £40,000 for projects lasting up to two years.

The Active Communities funding opportunity is now open in parts of Scotland. Applications for funding will close on Wednesday 3 March at 1pm.

 

Community Gardens Award Accepting Applications

Set up in 2011 in memory of the writer and gardener Elspeth Thompson, the Community Gardens Award offers grants for projects run by amateur garden groups with a community focus across England and Wales.

The deadline to apply is 28 February 2022.

Government Opens Windrush Day Grant Scheme for 2022 Applications

Countryside Stewardship Grants Open for 2023 Agreements

England’s farmers, foresters and land managers can now apply for various funds under the 2023 Countryside Stewardship scheme to help them protect the environment.

The next application window for the Countryside Stewardship (CS) scheme is now open, providing a chance for more farmers and land managers in England to prepare for the future and receive payment for environmental work, alongside sustainable food production.

New Grants for Under-Represented Groups within the LGBT+ Community

With funds from the National Lottery Community Fund, the Consortium of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Voluntary and Community Organisations (Consortium) has launched a new programme which aims to build capacity and resilience in grassroots LGBT+ community groups across England.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until 30 October 2022.

Let’s Create Jubilee Fund – Deadline Reminder

Groups across England can still apply for their share of a £5 million funding pot for arts-based activities which engage local communities in honour of the Queen’s Jubilee.

New Round of Music Creator Fund Open for Applications

PRS Foundation's Open Fund for Music Creators can support projects by songwriters, composers, artists, bands, producers and performers who are writing their own music or commissioning others.

£44 Million Dormant Assets Funding Unlocked for Charities and Social Enterprises

Communities and good causes across England have been allocated an additional £44 million through the Dormant Assets Scheme.

The funding will be used to tackle youth unemployment, expand access to investment for charities and social enterprises, and help improve the availability of fair, affordable loans to people in vulnerable circumstances.

Advance Notice of Water4All European Partnership First Joint Transnational Call

This first call from the newly established Water4All European co-funded partnership is expected to launch mid-February.

The Call is expected to launch mid-February with an initial call for pre-proposals, which will have a deadline for submissions in April/May 2022. This will be followed by an invitation for successful candidates to submit a full proposal by the end of August 2022.

Education Grants to Raise the Attainment of 3-18 Year Olds

Defra Launches Animal Biosecurity Infrastructure Fund

From July 2022, checks on animal imports from the EU will be carried out at border control posts (BCPs) as these become available. Defra is providing grants to increase the number of BCPs for animal imports at maritime ports in England.

Applicants must confirm with Defra that they intend to apply for funding (this is known as pre-qualifying) by 16 February 2022 (23:59 GMT).

SHAKE Climate Change Programme Reopens for Food and Agri Firms

The scheme is now open for applications for Cohort 4. The deadline to apply is Friday 13 May 2022 (12:00 GMT).

Tudor Trust Announces it is Closing to New Application for FY 2022/23

The Tudor Trust has announced that it is closing to new applications from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023. Groups who have not applied previously may not apply during this period. However, it will consider applications for continuation funding from groups it is currently supporting.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 31 March 2022.

Government’s Youth Investment Fund Now Accepting Applications

Part of the new National Youth Guarantee which will see £560 million committed to youth service provision, the Youth Investment Fund seeks to deliver up to 300 new and refurbished youth facilities in the most deprived areas of England.

Phase 1 will close to applications on 25 February 2022, or when all funds are allocated.
