Carlisle City Council is providing local businesses with free access to its local business support and grant portal provided by Open4Business. This is tailored for the Carlisle area and includes local, regional and national schemes.

Business can also search for funding relevant to their size and sector. To use the portal, you will first need to register with Open4Business.

New Deadline Dates for Families Matter Community Grants

Funding for projects which bring genuine benefit to communities across Great Britain.

Warburtons the bakery business has announced the next set of deadlines for its Community Grants programme.

The scheme offers small grants of up to £400 to not-for-profit organisations with charitable purposes that are operating in England, Scotland and Wales.

Employees of Warburtons are also able to apply on behalf of organisations if they are actively involved with them (eg, they are a volunteer, trustee or active supporter).

Projects should align with one of Warburtons’ key outcome areas:

  • Health - supporting families to care for each other and lead healthier lives:
    • Improving physical health.
    • Improving wellbeing.
  • Place - supporting families to flourish in communities that are safer, greener and more inclusive:
    • Making spaces safe and inclusive.
    • Connecting communities with the environment.
  • Skills - supporting families to gain useful skills for life and work:
    • Developing useful life skills.
    • Developing useful skills for employment.

Applications are assessed quarterly, with decisions expected within six weeks of the deadline.

The next deadline is 7 November 2022.

 

How To Apply

Applications are considered quarterly. Decisions are typically made within six weeks of the deadline.

The next rounds are:

  • Q1: 10 August 2022 to 7 November 2022.
  • Q2: 9 November 2022 to 6 February 2023.
  • Q3: 8 February 2023 to 8 May 2023.
  • Q4: 10 May 2023 to 15 September 2023.

To access the application form, groups should click on the link on the Financial Giving section of the Warburton website. They will be redirected to the application form hosted by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).
