Funding to support the delivery of effective arts-based teaching and learning opportunities in the primary classroom.
Groups have two weeks left to apply for Paul Hamlyn Foundation (PHF)'s programme promoting partnership working between arts-based organisations and primary schools in the UK.
The fund’s purpose is to help teachers and school leaders to develop the necessary skills, knowledge, confidence and experience to better embed learning through the arts in the curriculum.
Around six two-year grants of £150,000 will be awarded to partnerships between of not-for-profit organisations in the arts sector and primary schools and academies working in the state sector.
Each partnership must include one or more arts/cultural organisations. PHF expect that a minimum of five and a maximum of ten schools will be involved in each project, regardless of whether the lead applicant is either an arts/cultural organisation or a school.
PHF will welcome a range of applications and are particularly interested in funding those which demonstrate strengths in the following areas:
- Supporting the needs of pupils experiencing inequity.
- Developing learning through arts.
- Exploring blended Continued Professional Development and Learning (CPDL) models.
- Strong partnerships between arts organisations and schools.
Grants will support both activity costs and core costs which relate directly to the project.
