Business Rates Payments
Business Rates is normally payable in monthly instalments, on the 1st of each month.
The number of instalments will be reduced if you become liable part way through the financial year, which runs from April to March.
Some people or organisations prefer to pay half-yearly or yearly.
Direct Debit
You can make payment by: Direct Debit , pay via the internet, by telephone on 0300 4562231, by Allpay or PayPoint, or by post.
Internet
You can pay your business rates online with a debit or credit card, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Please note that a payment made at a Bank, Building Society or Post Office can take up to ten days to reach us. If you have paid in this way and you receive a reminder, final notice or summons contact the Business Rates section on 01228 817234 immediately.
