Carlisle Parish Councils Association (CPCA)

The local association of CALC is the Carlisle Parish Councils Association(CPCA), chair Ronnie Auld. In addition to the chair, the CPCA Executive committee has eight representatives nominated from the 32 Parishes, a Parish Clerk representative and is supported by officer hours.

The CPCA meets twice every year with Carlisle City Council where parish representatives discuss issues of importance with officers and councillors from the city. The CPCA is also represented on some committees of the City Council, including Carlisle Partnership and the Rural Support Group.

As well as these meetings, the CPCA and City Council Officers work together on local issues.
