Street Parties and Fêtes
The seasonal fête and street party is a great
British tradition. There is no better way for people to get to know
their neighbours and meet members of their community, than by
holding an event on their doorstep.
Events such as The Big Lunch in London, and
the Royal Wedding in 2011 show that there is a demand for
street parties and fêtes. This is only going to increase in
the lead up to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and Olympics in
2012. This is Big Society in action.

Where regulated entertainment (live or
recorded music, dancing etc.) takes place before an audience,
or the sale of alcohol, a Temporary Event
Notice may be required.
