In partnership with Botcherby Community Centre, Cumberland FA will soon host a Walking Football session to those aged over 50, providing an opportunity for the county’s more senior players to enjoy football in a dementia-friendly environment.
Taking place at the Botcherby Community Centre on Friday 27 October from 1.30pm, the session will take place in the centre’s sports hall, with the kick-about followed by cake and cuppa.
The session costs just £2 per-person and is open to all men and women aged 50+, with football played in a dementia-friendly setting.
Activities are designed to improve balance, circulation and general health.
