Help us Recycle for Carlisle:

  • Use one of your green bags for plastic and the other for paper, cardboard and food/drinks cartons (no glittery cards or wrapping paper). Use your green box for your tins, cans and glass. We CAN collect black plastic trays.

  • Please put your containers out by 7am on your collection day. We will not return if you miss your collection.

  • Please take your containers back on to your property the same day after collection.

  • In high winds, please do not leave containers out overnight. Please keep hold of your recycling until your next collection or if not, please use a local recycling site to reduce the risk of paper and plastic littering your streets.

  • Remember to recycle or donate unwanted toys, games, books and clothing to local charities to support good causes.

Visit www.carlisle.gov.uk/refuseandrecycling for more information.

Christmas Tree Recycling

Do you need help recycling your Christmas tree this year? Do you live or work in the CA1, CA2, CA3, CA4 8, CA5 6 or CA5 7 postcode areas?

Hospice at Home is organising a festive fundraising initiative that not only recycles trees after the festive season but will also raise funds for the local charity. Book your tree collection at
www.charityxmastreecollection.com and make a donation of your choice to Hospice at Home.

On Monday 7 January 2019 the charity team and volunteers will collect the trees and take them to be recycled locally. Just leave the trees in your front garden or outside your property and Hospice at Home will do the rest. For more information about the Charity or the Christmas Tree Collections please visit www.hospiceathome.co.uk
