An award winning International Market will be returning to Carlisle city centre over the Easter Weekend.
Over 35 traders will be bringing a real flavour of Europe and beyond with wonderful foods and a great range of crafts and gifts from around the Globe. Between Thursday 13 April and Easter Monday 17 April, Carlisle’s city centre pedestrianised area will be bursting with flavour and a fantastic family friendly atmosphere, offering visitors the opportunity to visit a number of countries and try something different.
Just some of the tasty flavours which will be drawing in visitors to the International event include Catalan tapas, Greek gyros, a Traditional German Schwenkgrill selling Bratwurst and Currywurst Sausage, French crepes, a Thai noodle bar and even Ostrich and Kanagroo burgers so Hop It.
And whilst you meander around the stalls sampling some of the great Fresh Food products you can relax and browse some of the great Craft and Gift stalls including South American Jewellery and Knitwear, Italian Silk Scarves, Handmade Amber, crystal and gemstone jewellery and of course the famous Dutch Plant Garden selling a huge array of shrubs, bulbs, beautiful plants and trees with some great garden ornaments!
And if that’s not enough take the weight off and sit in our traditional Bavarian Street Bar and enjoy a great German Beer or glass of wine.
Market Place will also be celebrating Easter by hosting a free Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday for all visiting families. Our traditional Easter Bunny will be joining in all the fun and helping the children find hidden eggs amongst the trader’s stalls for their chance to win a free chocolate Easter egg!
Opening hours of the International Market are:
Thursday to Saturday: 9am to 5.30pm
Easter Sunday: 10am to 5pm
Bank Holiday Monday: 10am to 5pm
