National Flood Forum

National Flood Forum

A National Flood Forum event will be held at the Carlisle Tourist Information Centre’s Assembly Rooms on Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 March.

Between 10am and 4pm each day, flood affected residents and businesses will be able to get free advice from flood specialists, plus information on flood resilience products and funding opportunities.

Agencies in attendance will include:

  • British Red Cross
  • Carlisle City Council (Private Sector Housing Team - Flood Resilience Grants and Building Control)
  • Carlisle Recovery Centre
  • Eden Flood Volunteers
  • Environment Agency
  • JBA Surveyors (Thursday only)
  • National Flood Forum

Jason Gooding, Carlisle City Council’s Chief Executive, said:

“The event will be a great opportunity to meet flood specialists and find out what flood funding is available for residents and businesses. There will also be information on flood resilience products, plus advice on building control and Property Resilience Grants.”

A Flood Funding Newsletter will also be available at the event. Copies are available from Carlisle City Council’s Customer Contact Centre and other public buildings. An online version is also available at
