Talkin Tarn Open-Theatre Events

A bumper programme of open-air theatre events will be held at Talkin Tarn Country Park this summer.

Two performances will be held over two consecutive months by two different production companies.

Thursday, 4 July: Heartbreak Productions presents Romeo and Juliet

You are invited to an exclusive, glittering red-carpet event attended by notorious celebrity families, The Montagues and the Capulets. With the media reporting their every move and social media abuzz with their escapades, tensions are running high. There’s only one question on everybody’s lips - will these two families behave? Or will it be another fiery battle at dawn as the fabulous feud continues?

Gates will open at 6pm for a 7pm start.

Tickets cost £10 adult, £8 child or £35 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) and £8 concessions. Tickets are available from the Carlisle Tourist Information Centre, from Talkin Tarn tearoom.

Thursday, 29 August: The Pantaloons presents Sense and Sensibility

Elinor Dashwood has a lot of good Sense. Her sister Marianne Dashwood has an excess of Sensibility. Together they make a snappy title for Jane Austen’s classic novel of scandals, scoundrels and severely sprained ankles. This funny, fast-paced and faithful new adaptation from the critically-acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company features live music, audience interaction, romance and heartbreak.

Gates will open at 6pm for a 7pm start.

Tickets cost £10 adult, £5 child or £25 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) and £8 concessions. Tickets are available from the Carlisle Tourist Information Centre, from Talkin Tarn tearoom or via www.thepantaloons.co.uk
