Warm Homes Fund

If you are struggling to pay your energy bills or your home is hard to keep warm this winter, you may be eligible to receive help to heat your home more affordably including a new fully funded gas central heating system.

Homelife Carlisle Home Improvement Agency has successfully bid for funding from National Grid’s Warm Homes Fund to provide new first-time gas central heating systems to 200 households who privately rent or own their own homes. The aim is to help households that do not have gas central heating to keep warm and at less cost.

Homelife Carlisle is working with Warmer Communities on this scheme and each home will have an energy survey and support offered to access grants towards insulation or affordable heating. Warmer Communities is a Community Interest Company provided by Thrift Energy.

The Warm Homes Fund project is underway and aims to be completed by 2020. You may be able to get help from the Warm Homes Fund if you do not currently have mains gas central heating. Funded mains gas connections are also available for viable properties through the Fuel Poor Network Extension Scheme. Please contact us if you have health issues or are a carer or have a hard to heat energy inefficient home and do not currently have mains gas central heating. Eligibility for the scheme is not wholly dependent on household income but households with a low income are encouraged to apply.
