Open 4 Business Portal

Carlisle City Council is providing local businesses with free access to its local business support and grant portal provided by Open4Business. This is tailored for the Carlisle area and includes local, regional and national schemes.

Business can also search for funding relevant to their size and sector. To use the portal, you will first need to register with Open4Business.

Power to Change will support the development of sustainable community-led enterprises across England to help more people respond to local need and opportunity and change the places in which they live for the better. The programme is open to applications until 14 February 2019.

BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme

BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme supports children and young people who are facing exceptionally difficult circumstances, and is delivered by Family Fund Business Services. The programme provides items that meet a child’s most basic needs such as a bed to sleep in, a cooker to provide a hot meal and other items or services critical to child’s wellbeing.

Bidding Process to Run New Youth Endowment Fund Opens

The £200 million Youth Endowment Fund will provide a 10 year investment to support interventions steering young people away from becoming serious offenders. It will also continue to build upon evidence to ensure that the most effective interventions for tackling serious violence are supported. The deadline to submit proposals to run the Fund is 23 January 2019.

Deadline Reminder for Justice and Equality Fund – Now's the Time

Now’s the Time programme will award up to £1 million through a Challenge Fund which asks: “What would you do toward ending sexual harassment?” Large grants of between £25,000 and £100,000 for over one to three years are being made available to women's organisations applying in partnership with at least one other organisation. Partnerships across sectors is encouraged, supporting specialist organisations to reach out to colleagues in businesses, unions, local councils, schools and colleges and other contexts, and work with them to drive long-term culture change.
