Open 4 Business Portal

Carlisle City Council is providing local businesses with free access to its local business support and grant portal provided by Open4Business. This is tailored for the Carlisle area and includes local, regional and national schemes.

Business can also search for funding relevant to their size and sector. To use the portal, you will first need to register with Open4Business.

Leaders with Lived Experience Pilot Programme

Leaders with Lived Experience is a pilot programme providing National Lottery grants of between £20,000 and £50,000 to support lived experience leadership. A lived experience leader is someone who uses their first-hand experience of a social issue to create positive change for, and with, communities and people they share those experiences with.

Solway, Border and Eden Call for Projects - Janaury 2019

The Solway, Border & Eden Local Action Group has secured an extension allowing funds to be committed until 30 June 2019 and is now in a position to launch a final Call for Projects under Priority 2 – Support for micro and small businesses (non-agricultural) and farm diversification. This Call aims to fully utilise all remaining funds in order to maximise the benefits to the local area.

Cash for Kids - Cumbria and South West Scotland

Government Launch £2.7m Fund to Reduce Parental Conflict

Minister for Family Support, Housing and Child Maintenance, Justin Tomlinson announced today (4 January) that as part of the Reducing Parental Conflict Programme, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is launching a £2.7 million Challenge Fund that will provide grant funding to innovative projects, to gather learning on what works to reduce parental conflict.

Bidding Process to Run New Youth Endowment Fund Opens

The £200 million Youth Endowment Fund will provide a 10 year investment to support interventions steering young people away from becoming serious offenders. It will also continue to build upon evidence to ensure that the most effective interventions for tackling serious violence are supported. The deadline to submit proposals to run the Fund is 23 January 2019.
