Background
Finserv have launched the Back2Business Grant Programme which awards grants to ethnically diverse-owned small businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19 and lockdown restrictions.
Objectives of Fund
The Back2Business Programme is designed to help stabilise and grow small businesses in the UK, with business consulting services, and financial support for uses such as: employee payroll, rent or lease payments, operations equipment and resources.
Value Notes
Grants of £10,000 are available.
Each grant recipient will also be connected to local networking, support, and resources from community partners, such as the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its Black Business and Asian Business Associations.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible to apply, businesses must:
- Be majority owned by a person from a diverse ethnic background.
- Be located in the UK.
- Have a revenue of less than £1 million annually.
- Have been in business prior to January 2020.
- Have 15 or fewer employees.
Eligible Expenditure
Funding can be used for a variety of functions including technology investment, premise re-design and payroll.
