Carlisle City Council is providing local businesses with free access to its local business support and grant portal provided by Open4Business. This is tailored for the Carlisle area and includes local, regional and national schemes.

Business can also search for funding relevant to their size and sector. To use the portal, you will first need to register with Open4Business.

Please find attached the latest edition of the Focus on Funding Update – another bumper edition from the Health and Care Project at Cumbria CVS with lots of funding related information and news.  Please feel free to include in any newsletters and please circulate to your contacts and through your networks to help bring much needed funding into the third sector in Cumbria – thank you.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES:

CCF’s Young Persons Opportunity Fund – to support the development on young people from challenging backgrounds.

Tackling Inequalities Fund – to increase the availability of exercise opportunities for people with long-term health conditions

UK Community Renewal Fund – to pilot new ideas to support those most in need investing in skills, community and place, local business, and supporting people into employment

Boost Choose Now Change Lives Programme – to support projects or activities that will facilitate change and benefit local people

Foyle Foundation – Small Grants Scheme to make a significant impact on the work of small charities and Main Grants Scheme for arts groups and learning in galleries and museums

Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme – for small or medium-sized businesses and not-for-profits which qualify as SMEs to access a capital grant to upgrade broadband to a Gigabit capable connection

The Masonic Charitable Foundation – for disadvantaged and vulnerable people

The GoodCloud Foundation – to make a clear and measurable benefit to local communities

Green Recovery Challenge Fund – for environmental charities and their partners to kick-start environmental renewal while creating and retaining a range of jobs

DEFRA’s Tree Planting Fund opens in April to increase tree planting and natural regeneration in local communities
