BIFFA  Award are actively seeking expressions of interest for their Main Grants Scheme under their Recreation and Rebuilding Biodiversity themes which are both currently under-represented.

Grants of £10,000 to £75,000 to charities and not-for-profit organisations situated within the vicinity of landfill sites in England and Northern Ireland as part of the Landfill Communities Fund.

There is no deadline for applications, we accept online expressions of interest at all times. 

• Recreation projects can range from nature trails, boardwalks and community gardens to outdoor gyms, skateparks and playparks. This theme also includes projects in communal areas of sporting clubhouses (such as kitchen and toilet facilities) which have wider community use in much the same way as a village hall
• Rebuilding Biodiversity projects should safeguard or enhance habitats for a variety of plant, invertebrate and animal species. Work can include habitat improvement works and species reintroduction. Ideally projects will have a strong element of public access or inclusion such as volunteer involvement.
