Enterprise Development Programme Announces New Sector Partner to Support BAME-led Charities

17 May 2021/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

The Enterprise Development Programme has announced a new sector partnership with the Ubele Initiative to provide support for not-for-profit organisations led by and working with Black and Minoritised communities in the Humber and Yorkshire, London, the Midlands, the North West or South West of England.

Charities and social enterprises working within this sector will be able to apply for business and financial support to help them to establish new enterprise models with the objective of becoming more financially resilient.

Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to work alongside the Ubele Initiative - an African Diaspora-led intergenerational social enterprise that aims to build more sustainable communities across the UK - to outline a package of support that best fits with their specific needs. This could include feasibility or development grants of up to £30,000.

The Enterprise Development Programme was developed and funded by Access - The Foundation for Social Investment and is managed by a coalition of partners, including Social Investment Business and various national infrastructure bodies that work within the Programme’s current focus sectors: mental health, equality, youth, homelessness, and Black and minoritised communities.

There will be a two stage application process.

Stage 1 applications will be accepted from 1 June to 29 June 2021.
