Further Support for England's Artists and Creative Practitioners

Arts, Culture and Heritage

12 September 2022/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

This development fund is designed to support independent creative practitioners and ensure excellence is thriving in England’s arts and culture sector.

Provided by Arts Council England, Developing your Creative Practice is a fund designed to support independent creative practitioners to ensure excellence is thriving in England’s arts and culture sector.

The fund is intended to create more pathways for individuals, from a range of creative practices and backgrounds. It will allow creative practitioners the time and space to undertake ambitious research and development, helping to make a step-change in their practice.

Individuals can apply for between £2,000 and £10,000, to take a dedicated period of time to focus on their own creative development, and propel them to the next stage in their practice.

Applications are welcomed from practitioners who have identified a clear development opportunity. This could be a period of research, time to create new work, experimenting with new collaborators, international travel to explore other practice or work with mentors, and professional development activities.

Individual artists and/or creative practitioners in England may apply. Applicants must apply as an individual, or as a small group of practitioners who usually collaborate in their work.

The current round is open until 4 October 2022 (12:00 BST).

How To Apply

Round 15 opens is now open and will close for applications on 4 October 2022 (12:00 BST).

Round 16 will open on 12 December 2022.
