Background

The Moto in the Community Trust, a grant-making charity launched in 2005, aims to make a 'real difference' to the communities within 15 miles of one of the Moto sites. It does this by supporting local charities and community groups with funds raised at Moto locations across the UK.

Objectives of Fund

Funding supports a wide range of projects that are located within 15 miles of a Moto site.

Value Notes

The average grant given through the funding process is £1,000.

Who Can Apply

Applications will be accepted from charities and community schools if they:

  • Are located within a 15-mile radius of a Moto site.
  • Have opportunities for Moto staff to be involved with their group/school.
  • They are happy to support their Moto site with their fundraising events.

The locations of Moto sites can be found on the Moto website.

Restrictions

The Trust does not support the following:

  • Applications that are for the promotion of religion or politics.
  • Overseas projects.

Eligible Expenditure

The Trust funds all types of projects provided they directly benefit the communities where Moto is present or where it has a significant staff catchment.
