Carlisle City Council is providing local businesses with free access to its local business support and grant portal provided by Open4Business. This is tailored for the Carlisle area and includes local, regional and national schemes.

Business can also search for funding relevant to their size and sector. To use the portal, you will first need to register with Open4Business.

Safer Streets Fund

The Home Office (HO) are launching the third round of the Safer Streets Fund 2021/22 on 24 May. This round will focus on improving the safety of public places, with a particular focus on areas of potential concern to women and girls.

Councils and Police and Crime Commissioners can apply for funding and guidance will be published on the same day.

The Safer Streets Fund Team are also hosting webinar on the fund at 3:00-4:00pm on 24 May. Details regarding the criteria and eligibility requirements will be presented at this event and there will be an opportunity for councils to raise questions.

Councils who wish to attend the event should email [email protected], including names and contact details.

HO have developed a number of documents to help councils understand the third round of funding ahead of launch.
