Social Enterprise Support Fund to Open for New Round of Applications

Community Funding

22 November 2021/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

Funding to support social enterprises across England as they rebuild and recover from the COVID-19 crisis.

Social enterprises in England will soon be able to apply for grants to fund activities which support communities affected by COVID-19, and to help organisations overcome any acute financial difficulties they are facing as a result of the pandemic

Grants of between £10,000 and £100,000 are available. However, as funding is very limited, most grants will be in the range of £10,000 to £50,000. This can be used to cover essential costs of sustaining current services or refocusing services to address the immediate needs of those affected by the pandemic.

Organisations must have been incorporated for at least a year, with an annual income of between £20,000 and £1.8 million before COVID-19. Priority will be given to social enterprises which are:

  • Working with the most marginalised communities in England.
  • Led by and/or working with disabled people and/or those from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) and/or LGBTQIA+ communities.
  • Led by people with direct experience of the issues they are trying to support.

Grants must be spent within 12 months of the offer. This may be extended in exceptional circumstances, but no further than June 2023.

There will be two application rounds.

Round one opens at 13:00 on 25 November 2021 and closes at 13:00 on 21 December 2021.

How To Apply

There will be two application rounds:

  • Round One - opens at 13:00 on Thursday 25 November 2021 and closes at 13:00 on Tuesday 21 December 2021.
  • Round Two - opens at 13:00 on Monday 28 February 2022 and closes at 13:00 on Thursday 24 March 2022.
