Sport England - Toyota Parasport Fund – End of May Deadline

17 May 2021/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

After a two-year break, Sport England in partnership with Toyota and the British Paralympic Association have launched a second round of funding to improve the quality and quantity of sport and activities available to disabled people.

There is a total funding pot of £200,000 for 2021.

Not-for-profit organisations, including voluntary and community clubs, registered charities, social enterprises, and schools, can apply for grants of between £1,000 and £5,000.

The funding is intended for existing clubs and organisations in England to support disabled people as they return to previously run activity (or to enable previous projects to resume delivery) when the coronavirus/COVID-19 restrictions are relaxed.

The following are examples, but not an exhaustive list, of uses for the funding:

  • Additional sports equipment, or coaches/instructors for additional sessions because of having to deliver to smaller groups than normal.
  • Signage, sanitation, or training courses to help clubs deliver activities safely and accessibly.
  • To purchase additional equipment to send to individual club member’s homes on a loan basis, until they’re ready and confident to return to take part within the club environment.

The spend on the project should be completed within a 12-month period from the date of the award letter and aim to start within six weeks of the award letter.

The deadline for applications is 31 May 2021 (5pm).
