The UK Community Renewal Fund comprises £220 million of investment across the UK and will be the pre-cursor to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to be launched in 2022 which replaces EU Structural Funds.
This Fund aims to support people and communities most in need across the UK to pilot programmes and new approaches and will invest in skills, community and place, local business, and supporting people into employment.
UK government identified Cumbria County Council as the Lead Authority for Cumbria with responsibility for inviting, assessing, prioritising, and submitting bids to government.
