'Preparing Your Manufacturing Business for Brexit' will be held at the Environment Agency's headquarters on Gillian Way in Penrith ,CA11 9BP on Thursday 15 February 2018 from 10am-2pm. The event will be delivered by the Cumbria Manufacturing Service, and will focus on offering Cumbria's manufacturers an outline of what Brexit means for small and medium manufacturing firms, providing them with the tools to start preparing their businesses. Following a welcome and overview from Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, Alan Reid the Cumbria Manufacturing Service's Advisor will outline the implications of Brexit for British manufacturers. This will be followed a panel discussion on how to plan for Brexit involving all the event partners, including Jenny Little, Rural Development Manager at the Rural Payments Agency, and Maria Ramsdale, Investment Executive at FW Capital, plus panellists from The Growth Company's International Trade team. Attendees will then take part in workshops to help them grasp the practical implications of Brexit and there will also be a chance for attendees to seek further specialised advice from the event's speakers on the full range of manufacturing issues.
