Focus on Funding Forum – Social Value and Social Impact: 2 July, 10.30am to 12pm

In this online session Nicola will offer a light touch introduction to the language and concepts of Social Impact and Social Value.  This will be a relaxed and informal session with plenty of opportunities for Q and A.

The content is aimed at those with little experience of impact management and aims to help you think through how your organisation can measure impact to help you maximise your fundraising success by proving the impact of your work.

When it comes to reporting on this year, what information will you need to capture, and how should you best present it?  2020 has been a year that none of us will forget.  The short session will look at:

  • What good impact reporting looks like.
  • How trustees and beneficiaries can get involved in demonstrating and communicating your impact.
  • How to use impact reporting to make the case for more funding for your organisation.

With access to new and FREE templates and resources.

This will be the first of two sessions where the next session will provide a more detailed delivery outlining recent developments around Social Value in procurement for example - or specific evaluation methods such as Social Return on Investment.

Nicola Lynch is the National Lead on Civil Society for Social Value UK.  She is also an independent consultant to the voluntary, charitable and social enterprise sectors.  Social Value UK is the UK’s professional body for social value – fighting to change the way society accounts for value through principles, practice, people and power and supporting practitioners nationwide to be the best advocates they can be for the movement.

In both her SVUK role and her consultancy work Nicola champions the work of the VCFSE sectors in creating social impact and social value.  She also supports organisations across those sectors to understand, articulate, measure and maximise their impact through the application of the social value principles – putting people and planet first.
