    Longtown Community Centre

    Since its opening in 1924 Longtown Community Centre has been at the heart of the community. It has played an important role in the lives of local people providing a venue for a wide of community, social, public, celebrations, works, exhibitions etc. We work with local services and agencies providing well equipped rooms and spaces to host meetings, events and health and well – being activities. We support community led action through support, advice and facilities eg indoor bowling, young people’s activities. There is gym, squash court and sauna.

    Brief decription of centre

    We host a wide range of activities:

    • Yewtots Parent & Toddler Group, Mon & Fri mornings 9am-11.30am, £3.00 including snack and drink

    • Yewkids Nursery, Ages 2-4 Outstanding rating by Ofsted, Enquiries 9am-3pm term time.

    • Chojinkai Karate, 5.30-8.30 Mondays

    • Soup at Sandsfield, First Tue of every month 12.30-2.00pm

    • Trampolining Recreational Sessions, Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays – enquiries to [email protected]

    • We also host a variety of other activities such as bowls, Church Services, Holiday Clubs, fitness classes and lots of one off events.
