Kingstown Wildlife Pond (CA3 OHE)

Kingstown Wildlife Pond is an ideal habitat for some of the amphibians and dragonflies living in Carlisle. Located between Lowry Hill Road and Kingstown Industrial Estate it is one of Carlisle's hidden gems. There is a small car park situated at the end of Wakefield Road, pedestrian access can be gained from Lowry Hill Road and the Kingstown Industrial Estate as well as by following the link path from Kingmoor South Nature Reserve.

Carlisle City Council provide a variety of activities within the park:

A small car park is situated at the end of Wakefield Road
Surfaced footpaths through out the site however some are uneven in places and there are raised boardwalks
There is a bench located next to the pond so that you can sit back and watch the comings and goings of the pond
The pond dipping platform is perfect for watching tadpoles and there are interpritation panels to let you know about all of the creatures you will find in and around the pond
