Funding to support capital projects in adult member hospices across the UK.
The Hospice UK funded programme is open for applications under the 2022 theme of Environmental Improvements. Projects should help hospices to implement measures that will reduce their impact on the environment and to deliver sustainable healthcare.
Grants of up to £20,000 are available to adult hospices that are members of Hospice UK located in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
Types of projects could include:
- Digital transformation
- Expanding the use of telemedicine to deliver some care remotely.
- Estates/Facilities
- Solar panels.
- Ground source heat pumps.
- Energy efficient LED lighting.
- Food and Nutrition
- Reducing overall food waste and ensuring the provision of healthier, locally sourced and seasonal menus high in fruits and vegetables. Could include developing hospice garden/allotment and greenhouses.
The programme is primarily to support capital costs, though revenue costs that help deliver the capital activity can be included in the project costs. Nevertheless, revenue costs must not be the primary expense.
How To Apply
Applications are open until 20 January 2023 at 5pm. Decisions are expected in March 2023.
