Grants are available to individuals and families across Great Britain to be used to write off their energy debts.

British Gas Energy Trust is an independent charitable body set up to support individuals and families who are struggling to pay their bills, regardless of energy provider.

The Trust currently offers two funds:

• Individuals and Families Fund
• British Gas Energy Support Fund

Both are intended to tackle fuel poverty by clearing the energy debts of struggling households and respond to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

How To Apply

Applications can be made at any time until the funding runs out.

Applicants must provide the details of a money advice organisation who has supported them.
