Funding is available to develop talent-led documentary ideas by a woman or anyone who self-identifies as a woman in the UK.
The Pat Llewellyn Bursary has been established to support women with an idea for a talent-led documentary. The fund was first launched in 2018 in memory of award-winning producer Pat Llewellyn.
Four bursaries of £10,000 are available in 2022. Successful applicants will be matched with a mentor to help them realise their ideas.
To celebrate Pat Llewellyn’s Welsh roots, and to encourage other women from Wales to follow in her creative footsteps, two places this year will be held specifically for any woman either born in or living in Wales, or with a Welsh parent.
The bursary can be used for the development of a proposal, which might involve meeting potential contributors, visiting locations, writing a treatment or shooting and editing a taster tape.
Any woman or anyone who self-identifies as a woman and who is resident in the UK can apply.
Applications must be submitted online by the deadline of 16 September 2022.
