Deadline Approaching for Everyday Heritage Grants

Arts, Culture and Heritage

10 May 2022/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

Funding to raise awareness of working-class histories across England.

Not-for-profit groups and local authorities in England have two weeks left to apply for Historic England’s Celebrating Working Class Heritage programme.

The funding is intended to support diverse projects, heritage and stories which may have been previously overlooked, with a particular focus on the everyday lives of working people and communities.

Grants of up to £25,000 are available, with smaller grassroots projects of less than £10,000 given priority.

The funders are especially interested in hearing from organisations which represent:

  • Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities.
  • LGBTQ+ communities.
  • Disabled or neurodiverse people.
  • Working class communities.
  • Women.
  • Young people.

Projects should engage with a wide range of heritage and enable people to creatively share overlooked or untold stories of their communities.

The deadline to apply is 23 May 2022.

How To Apply

The deadline for applications is 23 May 2022.

Full guidelines and an application form can be found on the Historic England website.
